My name is James Parkes and I’m a web developer, programmer, and graphic artist from Huntsville, Alabama. In my free time, I like to play video games, work on independent software projects, hangout with friends, and workout at the gym. I’m also a serious collector of video games, beer caps, trading cards, and table top board games. After finishing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville I took a position as the Digital Web Manager for the Global Marketing Team at Intergraph. In October 2015, Intergraph rebranded as Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure and Hexagon Process, Power & Marine, where I served as the technical lead for the development and maintenance of both division's public-facing websites and other associated web projects. At the beginning of 2016, I took my talents to the West Coast and worked as a Course Developer for Udacity. While at Udacity, I wrote, recorded, and built online courses to teach individuals HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
